T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Michigan, the Great Start to Quality Upper Peninsula Resource Center, the Great Start to Quality Northeast Resource Center, and Bay Mills Community College are partnering to bring high quality CDA training so we can meet the needs of early care and education providers in Michigan’s Upper Peninusla.

Why Get Your CDA Credentials?
Getting your Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials is your first step to gaining better job opportunities in the field of Early Childhood Education. It’s the first set of credentials that will allow you to meet the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), who set industry standards. These credentials also allow you to get lead teacher positions at organizations along with increased pay.
Bay Mills Community College CDA Course Features
- Online course format with virtual workshop sessions meeting once per month.
- Earn 11 credits that will apply toward a Child Development Associate Degree.
- Complete 120 hours of training required by the Council for Professional Recognition while earning 11 college credits.
T.E.A.C.H.Early Childhood® Michigan scholarships are available to cover most or all of the cost for college credits, books, and the CDA credential fee for eligible participants. ECE classes and workshops are on a rotating schedule.

How It Works!
We want you to take advantage of this amazing opportunity, so below is a step by step guide to getting enrolled in CDA Training through Bay Mills Community College. Prior to attending the CDA training program, a participant must apply to be a student at BMCC and apply for a T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Michigan Scholarship.

Classes Start
The date to drop your classes by is Friday, January 19th, 2023. If you determine you are unable to attend training, you must officially drop the designated course(s) at BMCC to cancel all tuition and fees. If you fail to drop the courses on or before the drop date, you will be responsible for any applicable tuition or fees related to the coursework.
