Local Talent Development Leader Russell Utych Honored by Michigan Works! Association

LANSING, Mich. (Sep 15, 2021) – Russell Utych of Upper Peninsula Michigan Works! was awarded a “Shining Star” Award by the Michigan Works! Association for his efforts to meet employment needs in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.  Utych recently received the award during the Association’s annual conference.

Utych is a tremendous asset to the workforce development system both locally and across county lines.

“Russell is a talent specialist and serves his participants in a caring and respectful manner,” said Ryan Hundt, chief executive officer of the Michigan Works! Association. “He goes above and beyond to ensure everyone is well taken care of and that clients are using our programs efficiently.  Russell has many talents that are used in various ways to support the team and the Upper Peninsula region.”

Utych has a reputation for going above and beyond to assist his clients, treating each one with care and respect.

“Russell volunteers to help the team wherever he can and utilizes his strengths to make us a better organization,” said William Raymond, CEO of Upper Peninsula Michigan Works!.  “He has impeccable writing skills, attention to detail, a passion for grant writing, and takes a positive approach to all he does.  Russell demonstrates that every individual is important through his respectful communication and treats everyone with kindness.  No one is more deserving of this award than Russell!”

Utych said he is honored to receive this award.
