Upper Peninsula Michigan Works! is partnering with local businesses, InvestUP, and the MiSTEM Network to host Educator Externships!

These field trips bring teachers and educators to local businesses to learn more about the companies and industries that drive the Upper Peninsula with the ultimate goal of passing that knowledge along to students. If we want students to stay in the area after graduation, we need to show them that there are skilled, fulfilling jobs available right in our backyard. 

Tours are held during the summer. Tour participants receive a stipend for their time, along with gas cards and transportation from Michigan Works! offices to the featured company.
