Public Notice – 9/30/19

On or about Tuesday, October 1, 2019, UPward Talent Council will be releasing a Request for Proposals to seek up to 15,000 square feet of ADA accessible office space to house the Michigan Works! staff to provide jobseeker and employer activities within Delta County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

UPward Talent Council – Michigan Works! has received a few questions in regards to the RFP for office space within Delta County.
Answers to the questions are below:

Q: How many offices and cubicles are needed?
A: The space must accommodate a minimum of 21 staff desks, preferably with a couple extra desks for itinerant staff. We must have a minimum of 3 soundproof closed-door offices.

Q: How big of a conference room will be needed?
A: Preferably we would like a conference room to accommodate 25-30 people with an additional 2 smaller meeting spaces to accommodate 10-15 people each.

Q: The sixty(60) day right to terminate, does this allow for any unamortized costs, fees, etc?
A: This termination clause does not allow for such costs. UPward Talent Council, formerly Six County Employment Alliance, has been in business since 1974. We have yet to execute this clause due to funding decrease or elimination. However, due to how we receive Federal and State funds, we are required to have such clause should there ever be a funding elimination.

If you are interested in receiving a copy of the RFP, please contact Amy Fleury at (906) 789-0558 x 1321 or afleury@isupward.org.

The deadline for submissions is 12:00PM on 10/25/2019.
