The Luce County Michigan Works! American Job Center is Hosting a Census Recruiting Event

NEWBERRY, MI, JULY 2019 — On July 22nd, 2019, the Luce County Michigan Works! American Job Center is hosting an informational event for those interested in working for the 2020 U.S. Census as temporary Census Takers. U.S. Census representatives will be on-site accepting applications and providing information about working for the U.S. Census.

Working as a temporary Census Taker offers individuals great pay, flexible hours, weekly pay, and paid training.

This event will be taking place at the Luce County Michigan Works! office at 501 W. Harrie St. in Newberry, Michigan from 12 PM to 3 PM.

Those who are interested may apply at 2020census.gov/jobs or attend this informational event in Newberry where Michigan Works! and U.S. Census employees may assist you.

Since 1790, the United States has been holding a census every ten years. The last census was held in 2010, and the 2020 Census is fast approaching. Statistics gathered from each census are used to provide insight into how services, resources, and more should be allocated by the United States’ federal government. Make plans to join us on July 22nd, 2019 at the Luce County Michigan Works! office and become a part of the 2020 United States Census team.
