MARQUETTE, MI (March 20, 2019)— Michigan Works! made an appearance at Northern Michigan University’s 29th Annual Winter Semester Career Fair where about 60 employers in all different fields were on hand to meet with students. According to NMU Career Services, between 200-300 students usually attend the job fair and it gives them a better edge when engaging with future employers. One of the perks for our organization to attend these job fairs is the opportunity to have a conversation with each student about the many services we have available to students who are graduating and transitioning into the workforce. This transition can be intimidating, and it helps to have somebody there to coach you with things like resume development, job search assistance, and mock interviewing.
