MANISTIQUE (October 5, 2018)— UPWARD participated in the annual Schoolcraft County Community Resource Fair at the First Baptist Chuch in Manistique to promote our services to the community. The event brings together community organizations and businesses who provide assistance and services to residents. The event's Facebook page says agencies and programs "include but are not limited to housing, medical, veteran, tribal, educational, financial, and family resources." We are honored to participate in this event and educate residents on the services we provide!
The UPWARD Talent Council Michigan Works! recently worked with local partners to host two Career Events at the L'Anse and Ontonagon High Schools. These events were designed to help students learn about local careers in the U.P. and what skills and education they will need to get them.
