GLADSTONE/ESCANABA (October 2018)—  The Delta County College Access Network (DCCAN), the Community Foundation for Delta County (CFFDC), and Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District (DSISD) collaborated to host their first ever Career Fairs on October 17 at Gladstone High and October 24 at Escanaba High. This event gave Juniors and Seniors from Delta County the opportunity to become workforce, career, and college ready. UPWARD staff met with over 25 students at Gladstone High School and over 40 students at Escanaba High School. Staff had conversations with many students who were undecided on their career path and seeking guidance. This event was a great way to help many young adults explore different opportunities, educate on the services their local Michigan Works! service center provides, and offer support to students. Thank you to DCCAN, CFFDC, and the DSISD for hosting this awesome event!
